I choose watercolour as my painting medium, because I am fascinated by the translucency and somewhat magical effect that it creates on the paper. It is very expressive and fluid. I get my inspiration from nature and it’s vivid colours that are so enhanced by the exquisite quality of light that we have here in Jamaica – the beautiful flowers and plants we have in such abundance, the wonderful landscapes and seascapes. Painting is a part of me. It is my creative outlet and a means of expressing myself. It brings everything together. It acts as my cohesive force.

The ability to express oneself through art is truly a gift.
To be able to share with others one’s perceptions and interpretations of life and it’s diversity can only enrich the human experience, as it always opens another door and allows one to explore and understand even more.
